Gathen-James, Shantel

Hello, my name is Shantel Gathen-James. I engage in the chapter as a previous member of the award-winning Technology Committee and a current committee member of Membership Services.

I pledged Spring of 1997, at the Nicholls University in Louisiana - Xi Theta Chapter, where I was #12 of thirteen. I have a BS in Biology, an MSPH in Environemtnal Health Sciences/Industrial Hygiene, and I successfully defended my PhD dissertation in Leadership, titled Intersectionality, Imposter Syndrome, and High Achieving African American Women.

I am currently Senior Manager of Business Area ESH at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. I enjoy family time, meal outings with friends, traveling, concerts, anime, board games, and manga.
