Colbert, Kimble

Greeting Sorors,

I’m Dr. Kimble Teresa Colbert, EdD, originally from Mississippi. I’m married to Lt. Commander (Ret.) Brian Colbert, and together we have one daughter, Alexis.

I was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in 2005 through the Seattle Alumnae Chapter in Seattle, Washington, crossing as Number 3 on my line with the proud line name Mega~Byte. Over the years, I have served in several leadership roles across multiple chapters, including Information Technology & Communication Coordinator for the Southwest Region under two Regional Directors, as well as Nominating Chair, Treasurer, and long-serving Technology Chair for NCTA. I have also served as Technology Chair for San Diego Alumnae and contributed to various committees within my beloved home chapter, Seattle Alumnae. I was further honored to be selected for Cohort IV (2025–26) of the Delta PEARL program for the Southwest Region.

Proudest Delta Moment: My proudest Delta moments include being recognized as a two-time Soror of the Year (2016–2017 and 2021–2022) and receiving Technology Committee of the Year award for the 2018–2019 and 2024–2025 sorority year.

Professionally, I am a Senior Instructional Designer at Abbott Laboratories, where I collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to create high-impact instructional solutions, leveraging more than 20 years of experience in instructional design and web development to support learners around the world.

Fun Fact: I love playing tennis and enjoy hitting the court whenever I can.
